BLACKJACK is an elegant and minimalist table/floor lamp designed under the motto "form follows function", a credo Belgian lighting company TossB lives by. When tossB designs its lighting units, the unique place taken up by light in our lives and its influence on our sense of well-being are considered very crucial elements. For this project was initiated by their own product designer Glenn Marys. After graduating in interior design from The Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent, Belgian designer Marys started his career with a postgraduate in furniture design at Lessius Mechelen in 2006 and is currently working as a product engineer for TossB. The lamp BLACKJACK is available in different heights and rotates 180° on the foot. The two plates –whose shape is reminiscent of playing cards – tilt separately so that the diffused light can be projected in the desired direction.
