Block @ Zero
Block by Zero designed by Johanna Jacobson Backman in 2015. With its case-like appearance BLOCK has an acoustic function. BLOCK absorbs both high and low frequencies, contributing to a pleasant atmosphere, pleasing the eye and ear. The design is only 50mm thick. Standard heights are 400 mm and 800 mm. Standard lengths are 600 mm and 1200 mm. As environmentally bonus, Block is made out of a recycled material called Soundfelt, a standard light grey wool fabric Camira/Blazer. The unusual shape and finish make this new lamp worthwhile. The Swedish brand Zero produces and sells attractive en mostly dared lamps, they are not shy of bold colours and shapes. Innovation, quality, attractiveness and durability are Zero’s keywords since 1978. Zero works with a few of the most preeminent Scandinavian designers such as Thomas Bernstand, Mia Gammelgaard, and Jens Fager.
