This year was the first time for at Light & Building in Frankfurt, and they loved it. The many significant reactions on the new acoustic lighting solutions will lead to further growth of the young Belgian company.
By far the most positive reactions were triggered by the playful BuzziHat.
BuzziHat is a design by Alain Gilles. He created a decorative and highly recognisable hat-shaped pendant light with excellent noise absorption capabilities. Its unique design, combining an upholstered part with a metal ring is very sympathetic.
BuzziHat's upholstered foam body is available in a range of colour and fabric combinations, for the metal shade and ring you can choose four colours (black, white, beige red and gold). BuzziHat is available in different dimensions to fit various sonic environments which makes it the ultimate acoustic lighting for any office, lobby or restaurant that needs acoustic improvement as well as high-quality lighting.
BuzziPleat is a brand new creation by design duo, a dynamic series of acoustic solutions by Anastasia Su and Martin Lesjak from design studio 13&9. BuzziPleat delivers sound control with an architectural edge. Traditional fashion design techniques, like smocking and pleating, are reinterpreted with sound-absorbing BuzziFelt to create large architectural folds, which maximize surface to deliver exceptional acoustic performance. The large-scale, yet lightweight sculptural forms can be suspended from the ceiling or applied as wall-hanging. The suspended BuzziPleat LED configuration marries sound control and illumination. It is equipped with BuzziSol, a strong LED light source. The dimmable warm light gives BuzziPleat an even greater sense of depth.
The two other families that were launched by BuzziSpace are BuzziLand, and the iconic BuzziShade was presented in a new fabric.
