Disc of light.
The idea behind DOT was to make a simple disc of light. Two parallel discs are connected through a metal rod. The straightforward shape still is quite complex and full of state-of-the-art technology. The lower disc is made of milled aluminum and contains a ring of LEDs. The light is reflected against the upper aluminum disc which is working as reflector. Because the LEDs emit a considerate amount of heat, Lumina used heat-tube technology. The tube contains a fluid that is converted into vapor when the heat is absorbed.
The LEDs are equipped with two lenses, one round and one holographic filter lens. The round lens reflects the light on the large disc and the holographic filter lens provides uniform light.
Dot is available in 3 different versions:- Dot 600 has a diameter of 60 centimeters, 20W, 3000K and 2350 lumens
- Dot 800 has a diameter of 60 centimeters, 40W, 3000K and 3250 lumens
- Dot 1100 has a diameter of 110 centimeters, 60W, 3000K and 4750 lumens
The reflector is matt white and the LED driver is available in anodized black, blue, red and brass.
