This week is the annual IMM Cologne, the international furnishing show. During this show the German Design Council announces the 'Best of the Best' from the 2014 Interior Innovation Awards. This price goes to exceptional demonstrations of innovation in the industry. It is divided into 8 categories, including Furniture, Bathroom, Office/Workplace, Building fixtures, Walls/Floors/Ceilings, Kitchen/Household, Lighting, Textiles.
In the lighting catagory the price was given to Mawa Design for their new
FLATBOXLED. This design by Jan Dinnebier and Jan Blieske is a LED track light with great performance and great looks. Dinnebier + Blieske design studio has its own division for the development of new product solutions for lighting. They take product development right to a production-ready solution in a short time thanks to their own well-equipped workshop for prototyping.
FLATBOXLED uses just 14w to produce 1400 lumen. The light colour is 3000 K and choice of beams is spotlight 10º, 29º or the wide angle 41º.
