High Line @ Marset

Visually, the HIGH LINE is a light sculpture, a smooth line that illuminates without revealing its source.

This new floor lamp by Josep Lluís Xuclà for generates light indirectly by reflection, and side emitted light does not bounce off the ceiling, but off the wall.  A wall is HIGH LINE’s greatest partner, and they should always remain close.

In essence, it’s a composition in volumes and colours. HIGH LINE combines three blocks that stand out for their shapes and appearance: the vertical, light-carrying element in oak or wenge is attached to a block of lacquered wood. Both rise above the black base, which defines the optimal distance at which to place the lamp from the wall to generate an ideal light source. The simplicity of its shapes contrasts with the warmth of its wood and the depth of its colours.
