The model 'Hope' of the Italian label Luceplan combines the magic of the traditional chandelier with a modern look, advanced technology and with application of modern materials. Hope was designed by Francisco Gomez Paz and Paolo Rizzato for Luceplan in 2009. A large lamp with a diameter of 200 cm, a wall mounted, ceiling and a standing floor version on a polished stainless steel tripod followed. The chandeliers can be combined to form even larger chandeliers with reader-made mounting kits. In 2011 Hope was honored with the prestigious Compasso d'Oro award. Hope consists of a series of thin polycarbonate Fresnel lenses, which conceal the light source itself, but its light is spread in all directions with a glittering and festive atmosphere as a result. A chandelier that - surprisingly - is incredibly light and easy to assemble. Hope has been designed for use with any type of light source: the latest generation of halogens and energy-saving fluorescent light bulbs.
