And so we marvel at the robust wood that can be coaxed into fine spirals - a dainty, curvaceous and nurturing organic shape formed from a solid natural source. Formed from sheets of paper and wood, using state-of-the-art technologies, Luceplan’s Illan pendant lamp is a thing of beauty. Just as it does when it stands in its natural habitat, Illan’s silken threads of birch plywood reflect the glowing LED light that shines out from within, as the pendant gently sways in the air. Illan is available in a range of sizes of up to 1m in diameter. Cut by laser technology, Illan’s spiralling thin wooden circles make it incredibly light.
