The Compasso d’Oro Design awards have been presented in Milan since 1954. Initially these awards were presented every year. Later they were presented every two years, and they have been presented every three years since 1967.
This prestigious award of international renown aims to encourage industrialists and craftsmen to raise the production standard, both from a technological and aesthetic viewpoint.
The Lola floor lamp by Luceplan was rewarded with a Compasso d'Oro in 1989. Lola was designed by Alberto Meda and Paolo Rizzatto. The Lola is a truly timeless design lamp. Lola has an adjustable height of 160 - 200 cm and a maximum of 300W. The frame is made of aluminum. The lamp comes with dimmer in the stem. Lola is also a wall lamp.
