LULLABY & Lightyears

We do like these new LULLABY pendants by designer Monica Forster for Lightyears. LULLABY is made from stone paper with ash lamellae. The remarkable paper is pentagonal shaped, using five slender and curved sides. We're not entirely clear why ash is used, but we believe it adds character to the stone paper which is made from crushed limestone. So no trees were cut to make these lamps. Stone paper is bio degradable, it is robust and water-repellent, yet soft and sensory. In addition, Lightyears discovered that stone paper has outstanding luminous qualities, which enable the Lullaby to emit a soft, diffused light that communicates a cosy, natural atmosphere to the room. LULLABY's can be used both in the private home, but the E27 fitting makes a wide area of lightbulbs possible making is perfectly usable in the interior design of restaurants, hotels, shops and the like, where the light should be soft and atmospheric. No need to say that LULLABY's can be grouped into hanging clusters. LULLABY comes in three pendant sizes, Ø241, 430 and 588 mm.
