Nami @ Kundalini
The word Nami is Japanese for "wave". It is a metaphor of light: the glass wave refracts the light of the multiple light sources cleverly hidden inside. The glass and the light, the two main elements, coincide in harmony and enhance each other. The shape could be interpreted as a re-edition of elegant lighting in bel-Epoque. Despite NAMI's size, it is an elegant pendant suited to both dine under and, if the light volume is turned up, to get some work done. NAMI is characterized by a strong graphic style and a clean and refined image that easily becomes imprinted in one's memory, as it unwinds in space and traces out curved lines and surfaces, lightness and dynamism. NAMI was designed by Alberto Saggia & Valerio Sommella, both graduates from the Politecnico of Milan in 2004. Saggia & Sommella specialize in lighting design combining a technical vision with an aesthetic approach based on formal, material, technological and functional innovation.   [gallery columns="4" ids="13873,13874,13875,13876"]
