Every year, Pantone has selected a color of the year since 1990, the selected color is an inspiration for designers and consumers to create new and challenging combinations. This year, Pantone did not choose one but two colors of the year: Rose Quartz (Pantone 13-1520) and Serenity (Pantone 15-3919). Kind and loving colors after a year of terrorism and grief.
Leatrice Eiseman, the Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute, explained in a statement: ”Joined together, Rose Quartz and Serenity demonstrate an inherent balance between a warmer embracing rose tone and the cooler tranquil blue, reflecting connection and wellness as well as a soothing sense of order and peace.”
