Lighting is becoming serious business for Italian design label Kartell.
New stylistic and technological solutions, the new proposals for the décor sector as well as for lighting workspaces carve out a prominent role for themselves in Kartell’s way of life. A new design by Front Design was introduced during last month's Salone del Mobile: SPIN lamp. Distinguished by the concave shape of its curved blades, the SPIN lamp is manufactured starting from a single repeating shape, that of a twisting surface that gives the object a 3D expressiveness and creates different lighting effects. SPIN filters friendly and indirect light through its curved openings while emitting a direct and functional light downwards. The blades create a sophisticated and aesthetically attractive shape inspired by nature. At the same time SPIN shows off the industrial process with which the lamp was built, a trademark of all products.
