TEKIO ('adaptation' in Japanese) consists of a lighting system based on LED structures covered with paper modules. It is a 2018 design by Anthony Dickens. TEKIO combines various modules, as vertical pendant lamp, horizontal lines and circles.
In its design, Dickens was inspired by the traditional Japanese paper lantern that is ubiquitous throughout Asia, and in its production has worked with some of Japan's best craftsmen, combining traditional processes, high-quality materials and new technologies. Paper is a ductile, even malleable material; its folds make it more resistant and time alters and improves its translucence.
Paper nuances, filters and decorates. Tekiò offers decorative lighting for places in which to stop and contemplate, in a low voice.
