Camps, Alex Fernández

Alex Fernández Camps studied technical architect in combination with artistic practice in different disciplines like painting, photography and installation. Simultaneously, he started in the practice of industrial design meeting the concerns and the vocation to participate in the solutions of the objects that immediately surround us. Understanding the object from its function on a human scale, innovating frome there, is what he means by design. Instead of working on the object, he works from people and situations, approaching the object from that angle, and then he tries to compose the piece in the simplest way possible. Alex Fernández Camps has created armatures for Bover, as well as for Fambuena. They are both simple, but beautiful designs, and very practical in use.
