Hoff, Dick van

Hoff, Dick van

Dick van Hoff (1972) is a versatile product designer with a strong sense of material and form and a pronounced love for industrial and craft techniques. Functionality, quality and the relationship between user and product designs give their strength. Dick works as an independent designer in Arnhem and produces most of its own work. He did work for Royal Tichelaar Makkum; a sober characteristic series "Work" of ceramic with oak and tile stoves. The Weltevree label brings among others the famous Stone on and off the stove. Further products can be found in the collection of, inter alia, Dry, Goods and Functionals. He teaches at the Design Academy in Eindhoven. His work was purchased by the Centraal Museum Utrecht and Museum Boymans van Beuningen, Rotterdam.
