Jacobsen, Arne
Arne Jacobsen was born in 1902, Copenhagen. Instead of becoming a painter, his father encouraged him to opt for the architecture.
On the age of 23 participated in the Paris Art Deco fair, where he won a silver medal for a chair design. In 1929 he started collaborating with Flemming Larssen and they won several architectural prices together.
Because of his Jewish background he was not able to design products during the war.
