Kopp, Rupert

Rupert Kopp was born 1961 in Horb. In 1986 he begin to study jewelry design at the Fachhochschule Pforzheim.

In the basement of the sculpting department he discovered welding equipment, which would become the reason to finish his diploma in 1991 with movable interactive light objects.

After his studies Rupert Kopp developed his own furnitures, objects for interior projects and fair shows for various companies. He founded his new label "rupert kopp product design" 1998 in Berlin.

From that time onwards Rupert Kopp continues to work for notable companies like ADIDAS and ZUMTOBEL as interior and product designer. His passion focuses mainly in designing furniture and light fixtures. These works take part in many design exhibitions and have been awarded with several international prizes.
