Ramael, Luc

Graduated as interior architect in 1975 at the 'Nationaal Hoger Instituut voor Bouwkunde ed Stedebouw' in Antwerp. After specialistic studies in furniture design and photography he worked for several architects and designer, establishing finally in 1988 his own office for interior architecture and furniture design.

Since 1984 he teaches at several schools in Belgium as professor or external examiner and was alos a member of the jury of the prestigious 'Interieur 2000' design competition in Kortijk (Belgium).

He designs intimate furniture and lighting objects, without anecdotal humor or exaggerated experimenting. Logic and good tast give rise to useful and familiar objects, always with unnecessary frills.
