Ripatti, Timo

Timo Ripatti works as a designer in his own company Studio Ripatti in Helsinki. His designs are sculptural and poetic yet highly functional with a Scandinavian touch. His work history varies from lighting and furniture design to exhibition and interior design projects in Finland and abroad with occasional participation to art installation projects.He has been awarded as the Furniture Designer of the Year in Finland 2010. Timo Ripatti also teaches furniture design in Aalto University in Helsinki and in the Lahti Institute of Design and Fine Arts. In 2016 he creates Ulight collection for Axo Light.
