MEER WETEN?

The brick façades of 'brownstones' at the 900 Mahler: chic residential buildings in Manhattan from the early 1900s. Inspired by two slender towers in the heart of Amsterdam's financial district. A high and a lower tower allow the homes to take full advantage of sunlight and views. Detailed masonry gives the building a strong appearance. On the entrance, the building is enhanced at night with a sparkly feature of glass lights from Bocci in a small canopy.

Designed by Kate Hume
The lobby area is brilliantly designed by Kate Hume. With Holland's iconic mid-century architect Dudok. It is mainly through a vertical tapestry of beautiful tiles. Eye-catching chandeliers by Kaia and Atollo table lamps by Oluce give warmth. Studio Brink added trimless recessed led spots to accentuate this design. We put a lot of thought into getting the atmosphere right with the accents and contrast from the spots. And at the same time with these spots as general lighting, we meet the lighting requirements for the building (with lighting calculations). The luxurious feeling is complemented with wall lights and recessed LED cove lighting.

The lighting calculations by Studio Brink for 900 Mahler
The residents enjoy a wonderful view of the city from their apartments, and a true penthouse feeling is created by huge windows. Studio Brink also made the calculations for all the general lighting in the hallways on every floor of 900 Mahler. Slim black ceiling fixtures match the look and feel and provide basic general lighting. A long vertical light line is used along with the brickwork above the entrance to emphasize the architecture and structure of the bricks further.
